Abandonment
Who are you?
Minstrel of nature,
Hopping from one bough to another
Dodging the nettles, caressed by soft petals
And, you?
The croaking amphibian!
Your heart crooning strains unmanifested,
Zen like on a lotus leaf
The fluttering rainbows?
Lilting a ditty
As they flit carefree
Wandering from bloom to bloom
Am I, the
Sole dejected one?
With a heart leaden with grief
Waiting to be absolved
Ah, these creatures
Gleeful in their karma
With unflinching faith
Unquestioning; in harmony
Practicing hope
